Muscular Therapy is a system of manual techniques used to treat soft tissue injuries and pain patterns. There are three main elements of Muscular Therapy: Massage, Core Alignment and Movement Education.
Therapeutic Massage
Each soft tissue challenge requires skillful and sensitive techniques. The lightest and most easily received is CranioSacral Therapy. It addresses tension in the central nervous system and relaxes the whole body. Other more aggressive techniques include Neuromuscular Therapy ( NMT), Myofascial Release, and Trigger Point Therapy. Each has a specific intention relative to your goal.
Postural Alignment
A major goal of Muscular Therapy is to restore your natural posture. This allows the muscles of the neck, shoulders and lower back to be relaxed while the skeleton supports the body. This is achieved by releasing the contracted muscles that pull you out of a balanced alignment.
Core Movement Integration
Central to the philosophy of Muscular Therapy is learning the skills necessary for you to maintain your own muscular health. This is an individualized program that addresses your particular challenges in having the lifestyle you want.
